This is a great example of what Martin specialized in…making such fabulous sounding small bodied models of all types. This is a very special production 0-17 made in 1938, 1 of just 451 14-Fret neck models w/solid headstocks. Its Mahogany top is quite clean that’s been played in a bit w/a nice factory Tortoise’gard & still having of its original factory scalloped braces. Its Mahogany back & sides are also crack free & quite clean too. Its 1 piece neck feels very comfy w/1 13/16″ nut & its smooth “V” shape, plays great & has a perfect neck angle. It sports a Brazilian Rosewood headstock veneer w/Martins early logo. Its original open back Greover tuners are still intact. Its Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard & bridge are still quite nice. She still retains her original Frets. If you’ve ever wanted a killer playing & sounding 85 year old “0-17” Martin…this is it. She’s excellent overall & comes in a generic case
