This is a great example of what Martin specialized in…making such fabulous sounding small bodied models of all types. This is a very special production 00-17 made in 1943, 1 of just 475 14-Fret neck models w/solid headstocks. Its Mahogany top is quite clean that’s been played in a bit w/a nice factory Tortoise’gard & still having of its original factory scalloped braces. Its Mahogany back & sides are also crack free & quite clean too. Its 1 piece neck feels very comfy & its smooth “V” shape, plays great & has a perfect neck angle as its just been reset professionally. It sports a Brazilian Rosewood headstock veneer w/Martins early logo. Some of its original open back Grover tuners are in the case pocket & she now sports a new repro set open backs that work perfectly. Its Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard & bridge are still quite nice. If you’ve ever wanted a killer playing & sounding 80 year old “00-17” Martin…this is it. She’s excellent overall & comes in a generic case.
