About This Vintage Ad

Gorgeous 100% original 1955 Guild Aristocrat M-75, some playtime & weather checking, but in exceptional overall condition. 1st issue model with very early specs : early stamped serial number (many Guild’s had no stamped #’s pre-1956) and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard (replaced by ebony from 1956 onwards). Dream full-feeling & straight 2-piece mahogany neck (with a slice of mapple in-between), block inlays. Compact sized, hollow body that makes for a lightweight and very reasonant guitar. Beautiful sunburst finished bound spruce top (2-piece) and dark stained 1-piece mahogany back. Original adjustable rosewood floating bridge, clear gold knobs, 3 position toggle switch and original pickguard (has shrunk just a bit). All original gold hardware : minty “no line” Kluson Deluxe tuners (with plastic buttons) and “G” harp tailpiece. She sports a pair of amazing sounding single coil Franz pickups w/adjustable polepieces and cream colored covers (original windings and solders). The middle position is an insane out-of-phase ! She’s ridiculously featherweight at only 5 lbs. 11 oz ! Other than gluing the binding back along its top (as we speak), she’s one of the best originals left in truly exceptionally clean overall condition & comes in a just as clean original Brown hard case.
