With PAF Les Pauls continuing to appreciate, this is a great way to get the coveted sound of these holy grail instruments! This guitar started life as a 1956 Les Paul Standard model but has been modified to feature a pair of Double White coil PAF humbuckers. With an ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece, this guitar now has the same features as a 57 Standard model. A new serial number was inked and the guitar has been oversprayed, but the original ’56 electronics and phenomenal sounding PAF pickups make this a truly incredible sounding guitar! The comfortable ’56 neck has been professionally refretted and plays wonderfully all the way up the dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. If you’re on the hunt for the “burst” tone but aren’t ready to part with the six figure sum, this conversion model is a fantastic alternative!
