Vintage original Epiphone 1964 Wilshire in super rare blue finish.
We have taken the guitar apart and it appears the finish is completely original. It is our understanding Epiphone did a rare batch of this model in a orange and some in blue.
Neck is straight and plays great. It has a small, thin profile. Great for someone with smaller hands. It plays with a good action and no buzz or issue. Beautiful Rosewood fretboard. No cracks or breaks. Serial number on back of headstock is hards to see but it’s there and dates the guitar to 1964.
Pots, pickups and wiring are all original. Features two patent sticker Gibson mini humbucker pickups. Pots are all clean with untouched solder joints dated ’64. One of the stickers has fallen off the back of one of the pickups.
The original tremolo has been removed and the guitar has been converted to a hardtail. You can see the outline of the old tremolo.
Guitar is a stunning example with a spectacular rare finish.
Comes with a nice hard case.
