About This Vintage Ad

With approximately 13 instruments known, the Gibson EB-6 is certainly one of the most rarest offerings from Gibson’s “Golden Era”. Similar to Fender’s Bass VI, this instrument is a standard tuned, six string bass sounding a full octave lower than a standard guitar. Initially offered in the thinline ES body style, later models feature the double cut, SG/EB-0 body shape. This incredibly rare instrument comes from the private collection of our friend Joe Bonamassa. It includes the original hardshell case and nickel “ashtray” cover. A previous owner replaced the humbucking pickups with later Gibson Humbuckers but comfortable ’64 neck and mahogany body give this a distinctive growl! A truly special instrument that would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
