One of the earliest “Reissue” guitars Gibson offered, the Les Paul Custom ’54 features a one piece mahogany neck with no volute, ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, gold hardware and a pair of replaced 1960’s P90 pickups. This instrument has had a professionally repaired headstock, newer finish, and a refretted fingerboard. An added Bigsby rounds out this player grade Les Paul that delivers a fantastic vintage Gibson tone. The great playing ’50s style neck profile and resonant mahogany body make this one an absolute delight to play. These guitars have become much harder to find in recent years making this a great choice for a player looking for an affordable Les Paul with traditional 50’s style features.
