About This Vintage Ad

Hey now! You’re looking at a really cool vintage modified bass.
This is a 1979 Fender Precision Bass.
It weighs 11 lbs 1 oz, 34″ scale, 1.60″ nut width.
The P Bass was the first solid body electric bass guitar, bringing bassists from the background to the front of the stage!
This one is a monster, embodying the quintessential Fender tone, on steroids.
The ash body / maple neck has all the famous Fender tone and resonance built right in.
Active EMG’s were installed at one point, split under the pickguard to house the battery.
An on/off switch was installed to make sure you don’t empty that battery.
This gives you so much tonal variation that you won’t find on any other P Bass!
EMG’s have been long favored by bassists for their clean headroom and sonic punch.
Awesome mid-range cut, slap/pop to silky jazz. It’s all there.
The cherry on top of this tonal sundae is the Badass II bridge. With its high mass and large footprint, it transfers tone over the entire top – amazing addition.
Just setup, the neck is straight and the frets are clean.
Good vintage condition – there are finish chips, beautiful discoloration, buckle rash, finish wear marks/scratches.
Please carefully look through all of my detailed photos for a better visual description.
It also includes original case.
Don’t miss out on an awesome piece of Fender history with this naturally aged, upgraded, ’79 P Bass.
Thanks for looking!
