1996 Gibson “The King of Rock” Elvis Presley J-200 Legend Series
Rare Legend Series model from 1996, not to be confused with the new and unlimited Gibson Elvis J-200. This unique ebony J-200 model commemorates the career of the charismatic, golden-voiced performer widely known as “The King of Rock & Roll.” It is a replica of a customized guitar in Elvis Presley’s personal collection of Gibson Super Jumbos. This replica was authorized by Graceland, and only a limited quantity of 250 were made. Ebony fingerboard, custom crown inlays on fingerboard, pickguard and headstock, ebony bridge like Elvis’ custom J-200.
This is a great example that plays well and has full saddle height. It sounds like a classic J-200 but is extra special with the Elvis Presley connection. The guitar is very clean overall and was owned by a collector since new and is probably one of the cleanest you’ll find. Other than a few very small marks this guitar is close to mint condition. Black shows everything so it’s difficult to find these in this condition. The guitar comes with a Gibson case and Gibson sound hole humidifier.
