c.1990 Edwards Les Paul Custom: I purchased this guitar recently and immediately took it to my tech for a thorough cleaning. I come to find out that these guitar has a Matt finish. I don’t know a lot about these guitars but I wonder if this is a John Sykes model? The only part of this guitar that is a high gloss is the back of the neck, probably from playing. I got it with no covers on the Seymour Duncan zebra coil SH-1N ’59 and SH-4B JB but I installed a set of gold covers that had wear that I felt matched the rest of the gold hardware which does show wear. In addition, the jack plate is replaced with a cream one and the three way switch is new. I also replaced a lot of the screws with fresh ones with the originals in the case. Tuners are the original Gotohs. The fret board is original and the frets show surprisingly very little wear. The ebony fretboard is in great shape. There are various minor nicks, chips, dings and light scratches throughout the guitar. The guitar has just been set up with 10 gauge strings and it plays and sounds great. The guitar weighs 9lbs. even on my digital scale. This guitar will ship in the Epiphone hard shell case as shown.
