Remarkable guitar. 99% original. The guitar body was originally Tobacco Sunburst like most of the Jazzmasters of the time. At some point had been poorly refinished Shell Pink. Body professionally refinished by Brian Monty of Monty guitars in a faded Lake Placid blue color. Neck has had a Pleck Refret by Ian Weston of Weston Guitars here in Ottawa. One pot was changed in 1970 by what I can tell. The other one I can’t get to see the date code without unsoldering everything which I don’t want to do. Neck is stamped 63. Minimum wear on the neck. Body has a 4-61pencil mark in the pickup cavity. Pickguard is VOS but not the original pickguard as the original would have been tortoise. Plays incredibly well. Sounds amazing. Comes with a 1962 Brown Tolex case with the original metal handle. The latches work fine but the springs are worn so the latches dont pop up. The case has the wear on it as expected from something that old but the guitar sits tight inside. I have a lot more pictures that I can send if you are a SERIOUS buyer. Reasonable offers will be entertained, Low Ballers abstain. Before you make an offer PLEASE go look at comparables out there and you will see that the asking price is a fair price compared to what there is out there.
If someone has a Gibson Les Paul flametop VOS in Green Lemon Fade I’m open to negotiations. shipping extra
