Up for sale a super rare – late 70s – Ibanez 2404 double neck guitar-bass made in Japan from FujiGen in excellent shape and with a few major upgrades. It features a mahogany body with birch top and back, bolted to a pair of 3-piece maple necks with 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot markers and binding.
The short scale SG-bass retains its original Ibanez Super 4 pickup in the bridge and in the neck position there’s a Gibson Mudbucker taken from an original Gibson SG-bass (output: 9.3 Ohm).
From the guitar side we have in the bridge an early 70s DiMarzio Super Distortion Humbucker (killer pickup!!) and in the neck position its original Ibanez Super 70 made by Maxon dated 1977 (another amazing sounding pickup!!).
Necks are straight and fast, frets have a lot of life left. Cosmetically, it shows some nicks and dings here and there but overall it’s in really great condition.
The electronics have been professionally checked: 2 pots have been replaced with new ones and part of the wiring has been re-newed. This instrument is well setup with new bone nuts and strings on both guitar and bass. This double-neck is ready to play!!
